Our Family Ancestry

Until 2 Aug 2003, I knew that I had a grandfather from Sweden, two great grandfathers from Ireland, a great-great grandmother from Germany, and a long line of Scots-Irish Southerners. I knew even less about my wife's family. All this changed after attending our 2003 Lannin Family Reunion in Illinois. Getting together with about 100 of my cousins, aunts and uncles opened my eyes to how big and diverse our family might be. That was the beginning of this genealogical project. Since then, I have discovered a network of two 1st cousins, many 3rd and 4th cousins, and some more distant, in at least five countries in Europe, North America, and the South Pacific. We all seek to discover and define our ancestral connections. This project is my personal contribution toward these goals. Please enjoy this site.
